RollBack RX is so much faster and easier to use than GoBack. I like the fact that it does not slow down my computer like GoBack and RestoreIT. Great product.

I have used restoreit 5 through 7 and this program rollback rx pro takes up less space and doesn't use up free space just cause of defraging your hard drive. being able to lock and delete snap shots is a plus as well. highly recommend for beta testers!

Rollback Rx is exactly the staff that I am looking for, we have been using the Goback for a few years in our Jewelry shop, so much headaches, it slow down the computer, sometimes won't even start the Windows, you really want to cry, it took hours, sometimes days to get it back to work. I have been used competing products for many years. Initially, I used RestoreIT and more recently, Norton's GoBack 4. Several months ago I purchased Rollback RX Pro. It is by far the best of any of these products. I had a Windows crash most likely caused by a corrupted system file. Rollback was easily accessible from the boot sequence, and restored the system perfectly and very fast. This is the only product I will use from now on.

"After installing Rollback RX, I took a baseline snapshot and then ran chkdsk on the drive. Errors started zipping by on the screen..cross-linked files, corrupt files, lost chains, file header error messages, etc. When chkdsk finished, I was not sure what would happen when I tried to reboot. The computer finally rebooted after 2 tries. However, most of my software would not even run. This was obviously a good time to try Rollback RX. I did not have much hope since I have never had any luck with Windows restore points. I restored the Roolback RX baseline snapshot and my computer was back to the state it was prior to running chkdsk. As it turns out, my hard drive needs replacing, but thanks to Rollback RX, I was able to make sure that all important data was backed up. The decision to purchase Rollback RX was a no-brainer. "After installing a program one evening and then the next evening needing to print out a report, I was unable to print. I had been using the demo version of RollBack for the past week - since I had to reinstall the operating system and programs from scratch. Each time using the snapshot to make a rollback point - well, with roll back I was able to go back to the point where the printers worked and this only tool "10 minutes - total" from the time of selecting the snapshot, the computer rebootting, and then being able to print again. I have used Ghost and Go Back, but these two programs don't hold a candle to the power, flexiblity and ease of use that comes with Rollback."

"I have been using Norton GoBack 4.00 for the past year and have noticed how much slower my PC has become since first installing the program. The more snapshots that are taken the slower my PC has become because Norton GoBack takes up a huge proportion of your hard drive to store the snapshots that it takes. RollBack Rx takes up a tiny proportion of the hard drive compared to Norton GoBack.
Having just discovered RollBack Rx I decided to use the trial version and have noticed that RollBack Rx does NOT slow down my PC, in addition to which the taking snapshots and restoring to previous states is considerably quicker with RollBack Rx compared to Norton RollBack 4.00.
RollBack Rx does exactly as it states on Horizon Data System's website - restoring your PC to a previous state really can be achieved in just a few minutes. I have now downloaded the latest version of RollBack Rx to replace the trial version and will not use Norton GoBack again.

"I tried GoBack and had trouble installing and using it. I did not consider it user friendly. Looking for an improvement over Windows Restore, I strongly considered First Defence ISR and studied it. Although it comes highly recommended, I am choosing Rollback Rx because RBRx gives so many snaphots whereas FDISR is very limited in this regard. And the space requirement is so much less. And is it fast! I have been trialing for half a month and have decided to buy. My favorite feature is the ability to retain selected files from current state as one rolls back to a previous state. I have recommended this to an acquaintance in the hotel business who is going to provide laptops for guests and an Internet port in each room. "I have been an avid user of Symantec's GoBack product up until it corrupted my MBR (master boot record) on my RAID array during its upgrade process. Afterward, I worked several hours to recover my four unavailable partitions, each of which was over 80GB. To make matters worse, I performed the same series of install and upgrade steps for GoBack 4, just to ensure this wasn't a fluke, and sure enough, it wasn't; which meant several more hours of recovery!
It was now very clear that GoBack had to go (no pun intended) and that I had to find a replacement. First, I tried the 15 day demo version RestoreIT Pro, but that too crashed during a reboot stating that I would have to contact their technical support for more information. Luckily, I was able to uninstall it without further incident.
Now disgusted, I then tried the 30 day demo of RollBack RX Pro. Surprisingly, the installation was smooth and it operated flawlessly, even though I put it through a battery of tests for a couple of days. I can honestly say, the fully functional demo made me a believer in no time. Give it a try, you'll also see why it blows away the competition!"
